A junior, Giesing grabbed the 300-meter dash in 42.43 seconds in Friday’s morning meet, joining two teammates who also had victories. Senior Jon Puffer took the boys pole vault at 12 feet, while sophomore Tyrus Rosten claimed the girls 1,000 meters in 3:42.89.
Giesing came back for the afternoon meet and earned another victory, winning the girls 1,500 in 5:05.61. Oxbow added top-10 results from senior Leanne Burgess (sixth, girls 3,000, 11:52.32), junior Emily Carson (seventh, girls 55 hurdles, 11.18) and junior Willy Moreno (10th, boys 1,000, 3:03.90).
Giesing and partners Zoe Barton, Claire Cook and Natalie Barton also posted a seventh-place finish in the girls 1,600-meter relay, clocking a time of 4:42.41.
Oxbow’s boys produced top-10s in the 1,600 relay (10th, 4:05.04) and 800 relay (eighth, 1:44.93). Puffer and Moreno joined Evan Flaherty and William Douglas in the 1,600; Brennan Kimball, Jake Stimson, Harley Wescott and Jarret Rock produced the result in the 800. Rivendell’s Owen Pelletier took second in the boys long jump (20-10.5) and was ninth in the 55 dash (6.99).
The Olympians return to Dartmouth for another indoor meet on Thursday.
