Littleton, Colo. —
She is survived by her husband, John V. Neale, Jr.; her children, George of Denver, Colo. and Amy, Amy’s husband, Sean and 3 step-grandchildren of Coolidge, Ariz. She is additionally survived by her niece and nephew, their families and many cousins residing throughout the New England area.
Janet was raised in Norwich, Vt. by the late Dr. George A. Lord and Katherine E. Lord with her late sister Katherine and late brother George. She attended school in Norwich, Hanover, N.H. and graduated 1964 from Wells College in Aurora, N.Y. Janet spent many years as a Social Worker in Alexandria, Va. specializing in emergency services while her husband, John, now retired, worked for the Federal Government. They retired to Hanover for several years before moving west to Littleton.
Janet enjoyed many trips with her husband, John, over the past several years throughout Colorado, Wyoming and California. She was an avid reader and active member of a local book club. She particularly enjoyed her daily walks observing the local wildlife and flora.
She requested there be no funeral or other services, but instead asked all who knew her take time to celebrate her life and the joy she brought to so many.
