Colston Allen scored a game-tying goal just seven seconds after U-32 took a third-period lead, and the score ignited a four-goal closing run for the Hurricanes in a 6-3 VPA Division II win over the Raiders at Wendell A. Barwood Arena. Allen and linemates Jacob Dwinnell and A.J. DeBois combined to score four goals and contribute three assists for Hartford, which nearly doubled its season goal total in the victory.
“It was a totally complete team that was on the ice today,” Hartford coach Todd Bebeau said. “(Allen, Dwinnell and DeBois) are all young, and they had a coming-out party today. They were phenomenal. They were so much fun to watch.”
The two squads played to a 1-1 tie after one period and a 2-2 draw after two. U-32 took a lead with 11:11 left in regulation only to have Allen (two goals, one assist) strike right back with an unassisted goal seven ticks later.
It was all Hartford (2-6-1) after that. Dwinnell converted passes from Kaj Boeri and Allen with 8:39 left for the eventual game-winning goal. DeBois (one goal, two assists) made it 5-3 on a Jacob Derosier pass with 2:34 left, and Kyle Hamilton took an Aidan Boonyaharn feed and desposited the puck into an empty net with eight seconds left.
Hamilton added an assist to his goal, Jonas Spaulding also scored and Ross McFate made 18 saves for the Canes, who visit Harwood on Wednesday.

Casey Graham and Cam Woods each scored power-play goals for Hanover in the first period. Londonderry broke through in the first minute of the third period before Rowan Wilson answered for the Marauders to help the hosts regain a two-goal edge.
Dodds praised the play of defender Will Fichman and goalie Luke Ives (17 saves). Patrick Daley had two assists. Woods, Curtis Rice, Hans Williams and Joseph Goff each had one assist.
Hanover hosts Trinity on Wednesday.

Freshman Nora Knudsen put Hartford on the board in the first period, scoring with an assist to Ceci Spaulding to put the Canes in front, 1-0. Spaulding answered with two-straight goals before Izzy Stack scored unassisted with eight minutes left in regulation to knot the score at 2-2.
Hartford outshot Spaulding, 34-14, in a homecoming of sorts for coach Bill Goldsworthy, an ex-Barre resident and former teacher at Montpelier High School.
Goldsworthy praised the play of center Greer McCarty. Netminder Zoe Pfeiffer made 12 saves for the Canes, who play home against U-32 at 4:40 p.m. on Monday.
Woodstock 1Harwood-Northfield 1 (OT)
North Moretown, Vt.
Woodstock’s Kendyl Boisvert answered an early goal by the hosts with a score in the second period. Faye Stevens assisted, knotting the score up at 1-1. Goalie Bridgit Black anchored a strong performance by the Wasps defensively, making 26 saves.
Woodstock will play a makeup game at Rutland at 4 p.m. on Monday.

Lebanon twice led, with Lily Barber scoring once and setting up a Marissa Pickman goal. But Berlin tied the contest at 2-2 early in the third period and scored four times in the final 6½ minutes for the win.
The Raiders, who got 36 saves from goalie Paige Hoegler, are back in action today at Brady-Trinity-West.

Maggie Lee finished a Clara Boland feed with 2 seconds left in the middle stanza for Hanover’s only goal. Claire Yegian made 25 stops in net. The Marauders head back to the Bay State for a Tuesday date at Acton-Boxborough.

Mikah Baptiste added two goals and an assist. Abby Flanagan, Kelly Benson, Bella Parento and Ashley Penney also scored. Lucie Turcotte had a team-best three assists. Goalie Seana Perkins made 12 saves.
The win followed Friday’s victory at Governor’s, where Gretchen Dann had a goal and an assist and Abby Flanagan and Ashley Penney also netting goals.
Thetford 43, Randolph 41

“It may not have been a perfect game, but it was a tournament-style game and we did enough to win. Randolph is a very good team. The girls should be proud of what they did today,” Thetford coach Eric Ward said.
Randolph led, 36-31, through three quarters. Emma Colby (six points overall) and pulled down several key rebounds in the fourth quarter to help spark the Thetford comeback. Emi Vaughan led the Panthers with 12 points. Kiana Johnson added 10 and Grace Davis had eight points.
Thetfort visits Lyndon on Tuesday.
Proctor 54, Rivendell 43
Proctor, Vt.
Proctor opened the game on an 11-2 run and led, 21-9, after the first quarter. The Raptors opened with a soft press defense, which Proctor exploited multiple times in building the early lead.
Casey Ghio led Rivendell with 11 points. Emily Hebb added eight points and Leah Rutherford had seven. The Raptors (1-9) visit Danville on Tuesday.

Plainfield, Vt.
Daniel Roberts had 15 points for MVCS and was the team-leader in rebounding, which was a big factor in the win, according to coach Micah Roberts. Josh King added 14 points and Dylan Patel had seven.
“It was a good first half. The key was rebounding, we did a good job on the boards against another team which also had some good height inside,” Roberts said.
MVCS will host Websterville on Tuesday.

Hartford Takes Third

Alexis Johnston (134-153), Camden LeBrun (202-134) and Cean Lieberman (204-169) rolled to the third seed and a head-to-head semifinal with second-seeded Essex. The Hornets took the Baker-bowl semifinal, 151-111 and 191-156.
Hartford heads to Springfield Bowl next Saturday to meet South Burlington, Burlington and the host Cosmos.

Passow claimed sixth place in the five-kilometer freestyle race, clocking a time of 12 minutes, 31.1 seconds. Teammate Aidan Biglow was 14th (13:08.9), and the Marauders’ Noah Phippswas 18th (13:21.6). Lebanon cracked the top 20 with Cooper Bourne (21st; 13:27.1), and Nathan Magari narrowly missed that target by placing 32nd (14:11.4). Dirk Andrew had the top finish by a Ford Sayre Ski Council racer, taking 11th (12:52.2). InterLakes’ Eli Misavage won in 12:17.6, topping a field of nearly 140 skiers from northern New England schools and clubs.
Ford Sayre’s Caroline Loescher had the top Upper Valley result in the girls 5K, placing 16th in 15:52.1. Lebanon’s Celia Barnett was close behing, taking 18th in 16:00.0, and Raider teammate Ana Goodwin took 33rd (17:00.9). Megan Smith headlined Hanover with a 24th-place finish (16:43.1), with teammate Sage Gilbert-Diamond in 28th (16:51.5).
Holderness’ Olivia Lammivaara beat a field of 134 in 14:31.7.
