LEBANON — A 28-year-old White River Junction man pleaded not guilty on Monday to burglarizing a West Lebanon home during the day on Friday.
Marcello Terino is facing several charges including burglary, receiving stolen property and resisting arrest.
He was released on $10,000 bond.
Lebanon police say a UPS delivery driver called authorities around 3 p.m. on Friday to report a “suspicious male” who was walking and approaching homes in a neighborhood off Seminary Hill, according to a news release.
Police responded and saw a man that matched the description the driver provided.
When an officer attempted to contact the man, he fled, the release said.
Terino allegedly had in his possession “various articles belonging to multiple residents” from that neighborhood.
He allegedly burglarized at least one household while the owners were at work, the release states. There is no indication that he was taking packages from people’s doorsteps, Lebanon police Deputy Chief Phil Roberts said.
The investigation is ongoing.
