Canaan, N.H. —
In 1969, David married Judith Munro. Together they raised two children, Michael and Rebecca.
David was self-employed. He bought his first dump truck in 1980 and started Zani Construction. David was a very generous and giving person and helped many people start their lives in Canaan. His ambitions took him in the direction of a life-long dream of owning a store. He built and established Papa Z’s in 2007 which became a successful landmark in the town. David also owned multiple rental properties in Canaan and the surrounding area.
David was extremely family-oriented. He loved to take his grandchildren hunting and fishing, hosting annual family reunions, and was always willing to help anyone in need without being asked. David also owned property in Florida that he loved to visit every winter and would host many friends and family. He also enjoyed cross-country drives in his camper and annual hunting trips to Montana.
David leaves behind a son Michael, his two children, Caleb and Carmen and their mother Sherrill, of Canaan, all of whom he loved dearly. He also leaves several siblings; John (Doreen) Zani of Port Orange, Fla., Donna (Clayton) Zani-Dunkerton of Canaan, William (Kate) Tibbits of Plainfield, N.H., Kathleen (Roger) Bean of Thetford, Vt., Larry (Brandy) Tibbets of Canaan, N.H., Jeanne Gibbons of Canaan, N.H., Paula (Adrian) Tardie, of Wilder, Vt., and Tina (Teddy Smith) Tibbits of Sackets Harbor, N.Y., and several nieces and nephews.
