Claremont, NH – Grace Nicole Tierney, aged 19, passed away unexpectedly on July 4th, 2026. Grace was an amazing friend, sister, and daughter.
Born on December 26th, 2006, Grace grew up in Newport, NH with her grandmother, Marcia, as well as her aunt and uncle, BillieJo Joslin and Paul Monette, on a street called River Bend. In 2014, Grace’s family moved to Bradford Road, where they lived for 6 years before Marcia sadly passed away in 2021. Marcia was a stronghold for Grace, she was always there for her through anything. After Marcia’s passing they moved to Claremont where she lived with BillieJo and Paul, who provided for her and gave her a home for many years. In 2025 Grace moved into her own apartment in Claremont at the age of 18, an accomplishment she was always very proud of, this is where she resided until her passing. There she lived with her two beloved cats; Simba and Pumpkin, who she cherished and gave the world to.
Grace had many friends in her life both from childhood and from The Common Man Family in Claremont where she worked. She was always a magnet to those who were shy and had a unique way of making people feel welcome. She was an amazing listener; never interrupted or made you feel bad, but was always there to be honest and give advice. She was always the life of the party, laughing at her own jokes and making others laugh. Grace went through many hardships in life, however she was always ready to pick herself back up and start again. Grace was strong. That strength carried over to the people who were close to her, that strength she gave her community keeps many of us going. She was a light for so many, and that light will never leave us. Grace was so beautiful inside and out. She will be missed for longer than she was with us.
If you would like to attend Grace’s celebration of life, it will be held at the Common Man in Claremont on July 31st at 12pm.
