CLAREMONT โ€”ย The New Hampshire Chief Medical Examiner has identified the victim of a fatal house fire on Stewart Avenue Thursday as homeowner Elizabeth Hopkins.

Hopkins, 59, died of accidental smoke inhalation, the Office of the State Fire Marshal said in a Friday news release.

The investigation into the origin and cause of the fire โ€” which broke out around 4:30 a.m. Thursday โ€” was ongoing Friday.

Firefighters from Claremont and Windsor responded to multiple 911 calls Thursday reporting that the manufactured home was on fire. Crews brought the fire under control in about an hour and found Hopkins inside the home afterward.
