Randolph, Vt. — Stuart Earle Silloway, 67, died Monday, April 18, 2016, at his home in Randolph with his wife Patsy at his side.

He was born Feb. 25, 1949 in Randolph, the second son of Paul M. and Louise (Brazier) Silloway of Randolph Center. Stuart was a lifetime resident of Randolph. He grew up on the Silloway Farm in Randolph Center and attended Randolph schools. He graduated from Braintree Randolph High School in 1967. Following his education, he worked at several different jobs including; the Soil Conservation District, F.A. Tucker, Lane Construction (working on the interstate) and J.B. Wright driving the septic truck. He later purchased the business from Mr. Wright and changed the name to “The Wizard of Ooze”. He was also part owner of Silloway Maple in Randolph Center. He was married to Patricia “Patsy” Hook DuCloson June 30, 1996 on the Floating Bridge in Brookfield. Stuart is remembered by his family in his early high school years for his membership in the Middlebranch 4-H Club of E. Bethel where he served in many leadership positions including President. He was active in the Randolph Jaycees and was a lifetime member of the First Congregational Church of Randolph, located in Randolph Center. He enjoyed playing softball and loved farm animals and farm equipment.

He is survived by his wife Patricia “Patsy” Silloway of Randolph; two sons, Donald Silloway of Randolph and Todd Silloway and wife, Joanne of Burlington; a daughter, Tracey Lynne Silloway of Randolph; three step-children, Trajon DuClos and wife, Lila of Braintree, Darden Note and husband, Vincent of So. Africa and Nathan DuClos of Indiana; a brother, David Silloway and wife, Lynne Gately of Randolph Center; two sisters, Anne Silloway and Jerry Hebert, and Bette Lambert both of Randolph Center; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, a daughter Alyssa Silloway and a son Michael Silloway.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 30 at the Randolph Center Cemetery with Pastor Thomas Harty officiating. There are no calling hours. A reception will follow at the Braintree Town Hall on Route 12A.
