CORINTH — Vermont State Police have deemed the death of a man who was shot and killed in Corinth Saturday night as “not suspicious.”
Jeremy Kawalec, 25, died by a “gunshot wound to the head,” according to a Tuesday afternoon news release from Vermont State Police. Kawalec’s cause of death is still considered “pending.”
“Further investigation by detectives into this incident has determined that the death is not suspicious,” according to State Police.
Police responded to a 911 call at 11:15 p.m. Saturday evening after receiving a report that someone at the Richardson Road residence had been shot.
Officers who responded determined that the shooting resulted from a domestic dispute among people who knew each other. Police found Kawalec unresponsive and he was pronounced dead by emergency medical service responders at the scene.
