CORINTH — Vermont State Police are investigating the death of a man who was found shot and killed at a home on Richardson Road late Saturday night.
A preliminary investigation indicates the incident arose from a domestic dispute involving people who knew each other, according to a news release from Vermont State Police. There is no known danger to the public.
Police received a 911 call at about 11:15 p.m. Saturday reporting a man had been shot at the residence, according to the news release. Troopers responded and found the man unresponsive inside the home; emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
State police withheld the victim’s identity pending further investigation and notification of next of kin. The victim’s body will be taken to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
