“Rates of prescription drug abuse in this country are alarmingly high, as are the number of accidental poisonings and overdoses due to these drugs,” Sheriff Mike Chamberlain, of Windsor County, said in a news release. “We look forward to participating in Take-Back Day again this spring as part of our continuing effort to protect the health and safety of Windsor County residents.”
Upper Valley residents can drop off unused prescription medications at the following locations from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m, unless noted:
Canaan Police Department, 52 Route 118, Canaan.
Enfield Transfer Station, 39 Lockehaven Road, Enfield
Grantham Police Department, CVS 300 Route 10 South, Grantham.
CVS in Claremont, corner of Broad and Wall Streets (run by Claremont Police Department).
Hartford Police Department, 812 VA Cutoff Road, White River Junctiont
The Queechee Library, 1957 Queechee Main St., Queechee, from 9-10:30 a.m.
