WEST LEBANON โ A Cape Air employee walked back from a plane that, according to passengers on a flight, returned to the Lebanon Municipal Airport after about 30 minutes in the air on Friday. The flight was bound for Boston.
Seth Lazuli, of Corinth, said he had been reading when he looked out the window and noticed they were flying over the Miracle Mile.
Once on the ground, the crew said they had made an emergencyย landing becauseย of a possible fire. Lazuliย said he did not smell smoke during the flight.
The plane returned to the Lebanon airport “after the crew received a minor flightdeck indication,” Cape Air spokeswoman Rebecca Chace said in a Friday email.
“The aircraft landed normally, and all passengers and crew were safe,” Chase wrote. “Emergency personnel met the flight as a standard precaution.”
Lazuli, whose final destination was Portland, Oregon, said he was grateful they had turned back if there was a problem.
