West Lebanon, NH – Barbara Lynn Krinitz, 70, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Barbara was born on October 15, 1955 to Benjamin and Rose Krinitz. She is survived by her brother, Steven and his wife, Annette; her niece, Sara Clements and nephew, Richard Krinitz, and numerous cousins.
Barbara received her bachelor’s degree from Queens College and Masters degree from Columbia University. She then returned to her elementary school, PS193 in Whitestone, NY as a Speech Teacher/Therapist where she worked until retiring. Barbara enjoyed photography, videography, music, history, theatre, art, and traveling. She was also an avid Mets fan!
Barbara has lived in the Upper Valley for 13 years and was a JAM Community Producer and former CATV Board Member. She created a documentary record of the Upper Valley; created several series including “Hidden in Plain Sight: Treasures of the Upper Valley” and “Have You Heard?”; and captured hundreds of musical performances. In 2024 the Anonymous Coffee House celebrated her contributions to preserving the Upper Valley’s musical history with a tribute to Barbara.
Organizations she was involved with include Harmony Night, Lebanon Historical Society, West Lebanon Revitalization Advisory Committee, River Valley Club, Good Neighbor Health Clinic, The Upper Valley Humanists, The Lebanon Opera House, The Anonymous Coffeehouse and Northern Stage, among others.
Family and friends are invited to Barbara’s calling hour Wednesday December 17th (Today) at the Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon from 10 to 11AM with her funeral to begin at 11AM. Burial will follow in the West Lebanon Cemetery.
