MONTPELIER โ The Upper Valley Havenโs recent leader will serve as interim executive director of Housing & Homelessness Alliance of Vermont.

Michael Redmond, who retired from the White River Junction-based nonprofit organization in October after serving for seven years, will begin his role at the Alliance on Nov. 17, according to a news release from the Montpelier-based nonprofit organization.
โMy time at the Upper Valley Haven showed me the power of collaboration and compassion in addressing homelessness,โ Redmond, who previously served on the Allianceโs board of directors, said in the release.
Redmond replaces Frank Knaack, who served as the Allianceโs first executive director. The Alliance has launched a search for a new executive director. Redmondโs successor at the Haven is Will Towne, who previously served as COO at Spectrum Youth & Family Services, a Burlington-based nonprofit organization.
