Michael Redmond, who retired from the White River Junction-based nonprofit organization in October after serving for seven years, will begin his role at the Alliance on Nov. 17, according to a news release from the Montpelier-based nonprofit organization.

โ€œMy time at the Upper Valley Haven showed me the power of collaboration and compassion in addressing homelessness,โ€ Redmond, who previously served on the Allianceโ€™s board of directors, said in the release.

Redmond replaces Frank Knaack, who served as the Allianceโ€™s first executive director. The Alliance has launched a search for a new executive director. Redmondโ€™s successor at the Haven is Will Towne, who previously served as COO at Spectrum Youth & Family Services, a Burlington-based nonprofit organization.
