HANOVER โ A Concord man faces a criminal threatening charge after he allegedly brandished a knife in downtown Hanover on Wednesday afternoon.
Hanover Police responded to “an armed disturbance” in which a man was threatening another man with a knife at 2:37 p.m. on Wednesday, according to a police news release.
On the scene, police located and arrested Jeremy Arpan, 47.
Arpan was initially involved in a verbal dispute with a motorist near Allen Street, police said.
He subsequently escalated the dispute by brandishing a knife and threatening the motoristโs life, police said. The driver was not injured, and authorities recovered the knife.
Arpan faces a felony charge of criminal threatening and a violation of disorderly conduct. He was lodged at the Grafton County Department of Corrections in North Haverhill.
