Alana Jane Cole

Lyme, NH – Alana Jane Cole, 81, of Lyme, New Hampshire, died

family.

Born on January 2, 1944, in Lebanon, NH, Alana was the daughter of
Raoul and Alana (Picard) Rousseau. She attended Lebanon High School,
later dedicating herself to raising her three children, a role she
cherished above all. In 1979, Alana married Stephen Cole, following
his death in 1988, she later found companionship and joy with Larry
Driscole, who preceded her in death in 2000.

Alana spent some time working in the cafeteria at Lebanon High School,
where her warm smile and caring nature were appreciated by students
and staff alike. Outside of work, she found happiness in the simple
pleasures of life: playing bingo, knitting, and trying her luck at the
casino. She especially loved wintering in Florida, where she created
many fond memories over the years. She was a competitive cribbage
player and loved playing with her daughters. One of Alana’s greatest
joys was her weekly mahjong games, a tradition she kept with a
close-knit group of friends for over 30 years. Their laughter and
friendship brought her immense comfort and joy. Alana loved to spent
time with her family especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by four siblings and a grandson. Alana is
survived by her three children: Donald Raynes of Homosassa, FL;
Deborah Snelling of Lyme, NH; and Lori Riggie of Bath, NH; seven
grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
