SOUTH ROYALTON — Police arrested six people who were later charged with various offenses after a search warrant was executed at a Moses Lane home Friday.

During the search of the property that was conducted at about 6 a.m. last Friday, police found cocaine, firearms and ammunition, state police reported in a Sunday news release.

Police detained a total of 18 people Friday, but charges were filed against only six who ranged in age from 22 to 45. Four of the people arrested were being held at Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield pending court action Monday.

A Royalton woman was charged with fentanyl possession and violating conditions of release; a Newport, N.H., woman was charged with being a fugitive from justice; a Royalton man was charged with possession of cocaine and violating conditions of release; and a second Royalton man was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court on DUI charges.

Two other Royalton residents were arrested for possession of cocaine and released with future court dates.

There are additional charges pending and an ongoing investigation into the incident, police said.

In addition to state police, Royalton Police and the South Royalton Rescue Squad assisted with the search.
