April retired from DHMC in 2011 where she worked as a nurse for many years. She enjoyed working with people and helping those that spent time in the hospital. Over the past few years she would have appointments or spent time in the ED of the hospital and would find someone that had she worked with.

Family was extremely important to April, she loved to spend time with them. Monthly she would call sister-in-laws and schedule a lunch date.. This became known as the “Aunts Lunch,” and helped keep the whole family up to date on each branch of the family tree. Reading, traveling, and animals were passions of April. She always had a book either in hand or right next to her.

Graveside services will be held in the spring at Gleason Cemetery in Meridian.
