Claremont, N.H. — Carol Ann Brescia, 76, of Claremont passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center from complications of a motor vehicle accident.

She was born in Jersey City, N.J. on Sept. 30, 1940, the daughter of William Albert and Elsie Hazel (Swartz) Berger.

Carol was a Deacon at the United Church of Cornish. She enjoyed antiquing and yard sales and being active with the church.

Her family includes her son, Robert L. Brescia, Jr. and his wife, Margaret; her daughter, Catherine L. Blair; two grandchildren, Lori L. Gloistein and her husband, Peter and David R. Blair; two great-grandchildren, Cody Gloistein and Malachi Blair; a brother-in-law, William Balch; two nephews, Jeffrey Balch and his wife, Kathy and Russell Balch and his wife, Delia also many cousins.

She was predeceased by her twin sister, Barbara Balch and her sister, Lois Perasso.

A memorial service will be held at the United Church of Cornish on Center Road in Cornish on Saturday, April 29 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dale Nicholas officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carol’s memory to the United Church of Cornish.

Arrangements are with the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont.
