Lyme — Kathleen D. and William H. Waste, of Lyme, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth A. Waste, to Jesse Burdge.

The bride-to-be graduated from Thetford Academy in 2003 and earned a bachelor’s degree in geography from Clark University in Worcester, Mass., in 2007. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Colorado-Denver in 2016.

The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Sarah I. Burdge, of Pennsburg, Pa., and Ernest L. Burdge, of Newtown, Pa. He graduated from Upper Perkiomen High School in Pennsburg in 2001 and is pursing a degree in emergency medicine from Front Range Community College in Westminister, Colo. 

The couple live in Boulder, Colo., and are planning an August wedding in Almont, Colo.
