She is predeceased by her parents, Ernest Sleeper and Helen Boutin and step-father Arthur Boutin; brother, Don Sleeper; and daughter, Becky Elder.
She is survived by her son, David Roberts & Wendy Summarsell; loving life partner, Harlan (Ike) McKim; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie & James Stone; sister-in law Cynthia Sleeper; daughter-in law, Wendy Roberts & Mark Horlick; son-in law, Glenn & wife Torey Elder; son-in law, Corey & wife, Christine McKim; 13 grandchildren, Heather & Jonathan Brockway, Brittany & Lucas Croteau, Justin Roberts, Ashley Elder, Brianna Elder, Patrick Elder, Katherine Elder, Liam McKim, Shamus McKim & Killian McKim; three great-grandchildren, Brody, Haley and Eleanor; and many beloved family members and friends.
Donna worked 35 years in the Hanover School District where she touched many lives. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. She was actively involved in all of their lives as a dedicated grandmother, and great-grandmother. In her spare time she enjoyed gambling, horse racing, dog racing and bingo.
She and Ike enjoyed their time at the American Legion Post 22 where she was a proud member of the women’s auxiliary. She developed very close friends who became like family. They especially enjoyed the many vacations with the Greenwood family.
Donna had been a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 22, Lebanon for over 40 years. She held offices and chairmanships. She worked on many committees to raise money for Veterans and families, child and youth functions and scholarships. She helped on many other functions as well. The auxiliary will be performing a service in honor of Donna during the calling hours.
Family and friends are invited to Donna’s memorial calling hours from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 29 at Ricker Funeral Home & Crematory, Lebanon. There will be a memorial mass celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lebanon, on Monday, Oct. 30 at 10 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Valley Cemetery. Immediately following will be a celebration of her life at the American Legion Post 22.
