Burlington — Landon Cray scored on an error in the seventh inning to help the Hudson Valley Renegades secure a 3-2 victory over the Vermont Lake Monsters on Saturday in the New York-Penn League.

Cray scored on the play after he led off the inning with a single, advanced to second on a single by Joseph Astacio and then went to third on a groundout.

In the top of the first, Hudson Valley scored on a double by Jonathan Popadics that brought home Garrett Whitley. In the following at-bat, Miles Mastrobuoni hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Nathaniel Lowe to give the Renegades a 2-0 lead. Vermont answered in the sixth inning when Tyler Ramirez scored on a forceout and Luis Barrera hit a sacrifice fly.

Columbus 10, Pawtucket 6

Columbus, Ohio — Yandy Diaz tripled and singled, driving in three runs as the Clippers topped the Red Sox in the International League

Collin Cowgill doubled and singled with two runs for Columbus.

Pawtucket grabbed a 5-4 lead in the fourth after Henry Ramos scored on a wild pitch and Jantzen Witte scored on a single and Marco Hernandez hit an RBI single.

Binghamton 7, Portland 4

Portland, Maine — Dominic Smith hit a two-run single in the first inning, leading the Mets over the Sea Dogs in the Eastern League.

The single by Smith, part of a three-run inning, gave the Mets a 2-0 lead before L.J. Mazzilli hit an RBI single later in the inning. With the score tied 3-3 in the seventh, the Mets took the lead for good when Kyle Johnson scored on a forceout.

Starter Tyler Pill (8-8) got the win while Ty Buttrey (0-8) took the loss in relief.

David Roseboom retired the side in order for his fifth save of the season.

Binghamton took advantage of some erratic Portland pitching, drawing a season-high 10 walks in its victory.

Ryan Court reached base four times for the Sea Dogs.
