East Rochester, N.Y. —
Marcia was born on Nov. 8, 1949, the daughter of William and Lucille Tancreti. Marcia spent her childhood in Hartland, Vt., attending Hartland Elementary schools, she graduated from Windsor High School (class of 1967), and the University of Vermont (class of 1971). She received her Masters in Speech Pathology from Nazareth College, Rochester, N.Y.
Marcia was the beloved mother of Ross (Laura) Sealfon of Conn. and Seth Sealfon of Pittsford, N.Y. She is survived by her Mother Lucille; her husband Charles; her sons; her sisters, MaryLee (Philip) Biathrow, Dixie Paradis, Stacey Kegeleman (Ted); brothers, Carl (Heidi), Trace (Ann) TanCreti; and her grandchildren, Cora and Colby and their mother (Heather), Parker, Grayson, Kanen; and numerous nieces and nephews. Marcia was also grandmother to Miles and Rhys (Abraham and Belinda Smith Fallon) and Issac and Julian (Benjamin Fallon and Liz Chimienti), all of whom will greatly miss her presence in their lives. She was predeceased by her father William in 2008.
Marcia was a speech-language pathologist and worked for many years at Hillside Children’s Center and the Rochester City School District. Her colleagues remember her fondly as a mentor and a dedicated professional who worked diligently to improve the schools in which she worked. Marcia’s many friends will miss her, particularly Barbara and David Durfee, Donna and Michael Goldberg and Anne Neilans, all of whom provided care and comfort during this difficult time. We are grateful for the efforts of Dr. Aram Hezel, Carol Lustig, NP, and the caring staff of the Wilmot Cancer Center during Marcia’s 18-month battle against pancreatic cancer.
