LEBANON — Dartmouth-Hitchcock has restricted visitors and ramped up COVID-19 testing requirements for patients until further notice in light of increasing case counts in the region, according to a news release.
D-H returned to a more restrictive visitor policy for its facilities beginning Wednesday.
■Adult inpatients are allowed one visitor per day, while pediatric inpatients may have two caregivers.
■For outpatient visits, both adults and children are permitted one caregiver, although two caregivers may attend infant appointments.
■For births, two adult support people are allowed during the stay: before, during and after the birth. They both may spend the night during labor and delivery, but just one is allowed to stay overnight before and after the birth. Beginning Sept. 1, the Birthing Pavilion at DHMC will allow just one dedicated adult support person during the entire stay.
COVID-19 testing also has resumed for patients, regardless of vaccination status, who are being admitted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon and prior to surgical procedures in certain circumstances.
