Institutions in the Upper Valley are preparing for the expected federal approval in the coming week of giving COVID-19 vaccinations to children 12 and over.
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health said parents and caregivers would have several options for vaccinating children between the ages of 12 and 15, including using state-run sites, health care providers and hospitals, and school clinics. Dartmouth-Hitchcock also is planning to offer the Pfizer vaccine to such children if approval is given, and it could begin serving them as early as Saturday, May 15.
Meanwhile, school officials at SAU 6 sent a survey link and permission form to parents in Claremont and Unity, saying a vaccine clinic for eligible students might be held next Friday at Stevens High School if federal approval comes through.
