SPRINGFIELD, N.H. — Selectboard Chairman Richard Hendl turned back a challenge from Susan Abair for a three-year seat, 124-86, in Town Meeting voting on Tuesday.

With 159 votes, Darrin Patten won a seat on the Planning Board, as did Peter Keene, with 143. Thomas Greenhalge fell short with 63 votes in the three-way race for two seats.

Justin Hastings, 166 votes; Kenneth Jacques, 132; and Bryan O’Day, 129, won seats on the Budget Committee. Ryan Peterson was just out of the money with 123 votes.

And Maryanne Petrin outpaced John Trachy for a Library Trustee seat, 165-36.

At the floor portion of Town Meeting on Saturday, residents will vote on a petitioned article to establish an agricultural commission; on the town budget; and on a proposal to appropriate $75,000 from surplus funds to purchase a truck for the Highway Department.
