Princeton, n.j. — Five members of the Dartmouth College women’s soccer team were honored by the Ivy League this week.

Remy Borinsky and Bonnie Shea were named to the All-Ivy first team, while Mariel Gordon, Erin Kawakami and Alyssa Neuberger earned honorable-mention nods.

Borinsky capped off her career with her fourth Ivy honor and third first team selection. The senior led the Big Green with six goals and six assists for 18 points, which placed her tied for fourth in the conference. Borinsky was named the Ivy League player of the week twice this season.

After earning an honorable mention last season as a freshman, Shea proved to be one of the best defenders in the conference, helping the Big Green to the third-fewest goals allowed in the Ivy League. She also got in on the offensive action this season with one goal against Brown and an assist at Holy Cross.

Gordon, a goalkeeper, finished second with 71 total saves and third with seven shutouts, 14 goals against, and an .835 save percentage.

Kawakami finished the season with three goals and two assists, compiling eight points. Neuberger was a key component to a strong Dartmouth back line.

Dartmouth Junior Competes at ITA Nationals

Surprise, Ariz. — Dartmouth junior Charlie Broom saw his journey at the ITA Fall National Championship come to an end on Thursday, when he dropped his first round and consolation matches.

Broom qualified for the event by virtue of his semifinal victory at the ITA Northeast Regional last month. This was the second time in the last four years that Dartmouth had a player compete at the fall nationals, the last being Dovydas Sakinis in 2015.

Both of Broom’s matches were very close and went to three sets. In the first round, against UC Santa Barbara’s Nicolas Moreno de Alboran, Broom dropped the first set before rebounding to win the second. He battled in the third, but narrowly fell.

In the consolation round, against Stanford’s Sameer Kumar, the Big Green junior took the first set, but dropped the next two.

Dartmouth will return to action in January.
