CONCORD — The New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association will be recognizing all winter sports.
Beginning on Nov. 30, schools can start skills and drills activities in accordance with New Hampshire’s amateur and youth sports guidelines and phases I and II of the NHIAA’s reopening guidance
Teams can start official practices on Dec. 14, and less than a month later on Jan. 11, sport competitions can begin, the NHIAA announced on Monday.
The decision follows a similar format to what was adopted this fall, allowing schools to develop their own regional schedules and conducting postseason with an open format.
No final date to play or playoff schedule has been set.
Correction
The New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association plans to allow winter sports competition to begin on Jan. 11. An earlier version of this story gave the wrong date for when games can start.
