LEBANON, NH — Kathy Marie Clark, age 61, passed away peacefully at home in Lebanon, NH Thursday evening, March 12, 2020, surrounded by family, after a 7-year battle with Lung Cancer. Kathy was tenacious, outliving her one-year prognosis and never letting being legally blind slow her down.
Kathy was born in Hanover, NH October 21, 1958 to Norma Katherine (Dunham) and Elwin Luther Clark. She attended Mascoma High School and was a loving Stay-at-Home-Mom to her two daughters.
Kathy might be best known as the “Barefoot Lady of Lebanon” and could be seen walking barefoot and carrying her flipflops even on scorching hot days. She was almost as well known for her elaborate Halloween decorations that people from other towns would come to see. Kathy also enjoyed gardening and growing flowers, but her greatest love was reserved for her family and friends.
Kathy is survived by her daughters, Melissa Fusca of Windsor, VT and Mandi Thurston of Middletown, OH; grandchildren, Bruce A. Clark, Syianne B. Spencer, Elayne R. Spencer, Maxton V. Fusca, and Juliana M. Fusca; sisters, Jane Smardon of Enfield, NH, Carol Perkins of South Royalton, VT, and Joyce Ford of Inman, SC; brother, Elwyn “Gig” Clark of White River Junction, VT; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Norma (Dunham) Clark of Lebanon, NH and Elwin L. Clark of Canaan, NH, and her brothers, Bruce Clark of Lebanon, NH and Roland Clark, of Lebanon, NH.
Memorial donations in Kathy’s name may be made to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, 1 Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756-0001.
