Grantham, NH – Cynthia L. Mantz-Marks passed away on October 21, 2026, known as Cindy, was born on July 7, 1959, and lived in Grantham, NH. Through her work at Barton Insurance Agency, Cindy used her knowledge and experience to help many people in her community.
Cindy was a devoted mom to her daughters, Arianna and Tamara. She was involved in their lives and loved being part of the things they enjoyed. When they became involved in swimming, she became their swim coach, and when they were little, she was also their dance teacher. She rarely missed a swim meet and was always there to support her girls. She shared so many memories with her daughters as they grew up, and those moments will always be a part of their lives.
Cindy was smart, outspoken, and never afraid to say what was on her mind. She had a great sense of humor and was always willing to help her family. She cared deeply about the people in her life and had her own way of showing it.
One of Arianna’s favorite memories is dancing with her mom at her wedding to “Wind Beneath My Wings” by Bette Midler. Cindy spun and twirled her around, just like she had when her daughters were little. It was a special moment that brought back memories of those early years and gave Arianna one more dance with her mom to treasure. It was a reminder that no matter how grown up her daughters became, Cindy would always be their mom.
Cindy was loved by many and will be deeply missed. The memories she made with her family, from teaching her daughters to dance to sharing that special dance at Arianna’s wedding, will always hold a place in their hearts.
Cindy is survived by her mother, Susan Mantz; her brother, Roger Mantz; her daughters, Arianna Marks and Tamara Marks; her son-in-law, Dan Castillo; and her beloved grandsons, Oliver and Hunter.
Calling hours will be held on November 7 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Chadwick Funeral and Cremation Services, 235 Main Street, New London, NH 03257.
