Democrats Alison Johannensen and Michael Ricci, both of Woodstock, are running unopposed for the two Windsor County assistant judge seats on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

The Valley News asked the candidates in a survey about their experience, why they are running and what they see as the biggest issue facing the state. Ricci’s answers, edited lightly for style, appear below.

Ricci, who has served as assistant judge for five years, names affordability as the biggest issue and says he addresses it through careful management of county spending. Johannensen did not return the questionnaire.
