Don’t vote for John Sununu
John Sununu, who is running to represent New Hampshire in the U.S. Senate, is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Do not be fooled by the Super PAC ads flooding our airwaves, heavily bankrolled by out-of-state billionaires.
A vote for Sununu is a vote for Donald Trump’s damaging agenda. Sununu will simply fall in line with Trump’s demands rather than prioritizing the everyday people of New Hampshire.
During his previous term in the U.S. Senate, Sununu voted to confirm Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court — a justice who ultimately voted to overturn Roe v. Wade and eliminate a woman’s right to make her own reproductive healthcare choices. He would unquestionably back Trump’s judicial appointees in the future.
Sununu also opposed the bipartisan 2007 comprehensive immigration reform compromise, leaving us with the mess we have today in ICE. Furthermore, his environmental record includes multiple roll-call votes in favor of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) and offshore oil drilling, directly contradicting his slick campaign ads.
Many independent and moderate voters have voiced regret over supporting Donald Trump. Don’t add to that list. Cast your ballot for Chris Pappas to put an independent check on presidential overreach, rather than sending John Sununu to Washington as a predictable rubber stamp.
