The Grafton County Registry of Deeds performs a quiet but essential function in keeping the records for every person who has anything related to property in the county. Most people are unaware of the activities at the registry or what records — deeds, mortgages, and all ownership documents — are archived at the registry. But whether buying or selling a home, financing that purchase, or following a family genealogy, we rely on those records to be carefully stored and indexed in the registry, which is truly a public service for all.
Kelley Monahan has been the register of deeds for the county for 16 years. During her tenure, she has maintained this vital service admirably and professionally. The office does not require a party affiliation and equally serves all of the people in the county.
I am a registered Democrat, but for the register of deeds I will vote for Kelley Monahan. She has earned the trust of the legal, banking, and business communities and as well as that of family researchers, all of whom who depend on the registry.
