Running for reelection for Sullivan County Register of Deeds
Pursuant to New Hampshire law, the County Registry of Deeds office is responsible for the management and preservation of the public land records and the documents it contains. The most significant investment that most people make in their lifetime is the purchase of either land or a home.
The Sullivan County Registry of Deeds office contains the history and land records for every property in Sullivan County from 1827 through today. The Registry of Deeds office plays a vital role in the economy. It is the only place to obtain official records and information about real estate ownership. Without the Registry of Deeds, there would be no official way to prove ownership of real estate, which would make buying, selling or mortgaging any real property nearly impossible. Every day, the Registry of Deeds office records the documents which finalize the purchase, sale or mortgage of real estate. The Registry of Deeds is used daily by attorneys, realtors, mortgage lenders, town tax collectors, and homeowners.
By law, the Register of Deeds is the person who is in charge of the Registry of Deeds office and who oversees the recording and indexing of documents, collects and distributes the appropriate fees and is in charge of storage and preservation of the Registry records. The Sullivan County Registry of Deeds office is small, run by the Register and three staff members. The register is a full-time working position that includes directing staff and answering customer questions. The Register in Sullivan County works alongside the staff every day for the most efficient and productive operation of the office.
I bring a lifetime of experience to the Register of Deeds position:
• 25+ years working in real estate law offices and independent title research
• 2017 to 2024 working for Sullivan County as the Deputy Register of Deeds
• Serving as Sullivan County Register of Deeds since January 2025
Please help me continue to serve Sullivan County as your Register of Deeds by voting
and reelecting experience.
