Dorothy Eldeen

Springfield, NH – Springfield, NH-Dorothy R. (Skelton) Eldeen, 95, formerly of West Lebanon passed away at Elmwood Nursing Home in Claremont on September 27, 2026.

Dorothy was born in North Reading, MA on October 3, 1930 the daughter of Ralph Dennis Skelton and Mabel Pearl (Kenrick) Skelton Moody. She graduated from Reading, MA High School. After moving to West Springfield, NH in 1970 she worked at the New London Hospital holding a variety of clerical positions and one of the last was in Medical Records as Medical Transcriptionist for 20 years. She moved to West Lebanon in 2003.

Dorothy was a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants as a result of tracing her family line to Pilgrim William Brewster. She enjoyed researching her family genealogy, her flower gardens, crossword puzzles, her house cats and was an avid Red Sox fan. She was very interested in Civil War History and Ancient History.

She is predeceased by her husband, Richard W. Eldeen in 2007, her nephew Eugene Edward Hickey in 2025. She is survived by nieces and nephews including, Cheryl Gould White of Lebanon, NH, Kevin Gould of Enfield NH; grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday October 10, 2026 at 11 AM in Pleasant View Cemetery, Springfield, NH.
