Putnam’s was right to post video
Call me crazy, but anyone — homeless or not, addict or not — who treats public spaces as their own personal property and goes so far as to have sex in those public spaces, as seen at Putnam’s vine/yard in White River Junction earlier this month, deserves to be mocked.
Are you kidding me? If you don’t respect the property of others, you lose your right to be respected. And don’t cry me a river about their situation and that I don’t understand. You don’t know me and I understand plenty.
I understand a hand up is not a hand out. I understand we all make choices at one time or another regarding our situations and that we need to accept personal responsibility for the situations those choices create. I understand the frustration a business owner feels after cleaning up disgusting messes left on their disrespected property that leads to posting a nasty video.
And while I’m all for giving a helping hand, it’s the reliance on those hands that I’ve had enough of. That’s what has become a problem we are too accepting of.
