Music for a good cause in Lebanon
Close-knit communities don’t simply materialize. People work together to create cohesion, trust and — in this case — music.
Three Upper Valley organizations — the Lebanon Elks, the Hanover Lions, and the Upper Valley Community Band under the direction of Mark Nelson — are joining forces to foster community and support a great cause for the seventh year in a row. At 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13, come to the Lebanon Elks field (150 Heater Road, Lebanon) for a free outdoor concert by the Upper Valley Community Band. The free concert will be followed by a barbecue, which is by donation.
The concert and barbecue will benefit Copper Cannon Camp and Camp Mayhew, tuition-free summer camps for underserved youth in New Hampshire. Donations are split evenly between the two camps. Donations will be graciously accepted at the concert, however, those who cannot attend, can consider making a donation to the Hanover Lions Club PO Box 871 Hanover, NH 03755 Attn Camp Fundraiser or online at hanoverlions.org/index.php/make-a-donation.
