United States Postal Service woes continue
I suggest the United States Postal Service change it’s name to be more accurate. It should be simply United States Postal. Like so many, I am constantly frustrated by the lack or service whereby letters take days to go to a neighboring town and payments for services often arrive late despite being mailed long before they are due.
I know publishers of newspapers are especially concerned as customers complain about papers arriving more than a week after the date of publication.
As an example, I received the Aug. 1, 6 and 13 Caledonian Records on Saturday, Aug. 15. I received the Au. 3, 5, and 17 editions on Aug. 19. This is all too common.
To make it clear, I do not blame any of the employees at the local post offices. They are all pleasant and helpful despite being short handed and over worked.
