Canaan, NH – Larry K. Franks, 71, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 2, 2026. He was born in Putnam, CT to the late Lawrence & Lilla (Kimball) Franks. Larry graduated from Woodstock Academy in Woodstock, CT, class of 1973. Following graduation he began working as a Ford mechanic. He started a Snap-On Tools dealership in 1983 the same year he met Susan (Daigneault) Surrette, they married April 7, 1984. He enjoyed muscle cars, golf and boating. He was a member of the Tice-Shores Moose and a lifetime member of the Greenfield (MA) Elks.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Susan Franks, their daughter Lauren Gladu and her husband Kevin, two granddaughters Brianna Gladu, Audrey Bohl and her husband Matthew, a great granddaughter Lucy Bohl, and a sister Barbara Franks.
There will not be any services scheduled for Larry.
