Albert “Bud” DeHavens

Gilbert, AZ – Albert “Bud” DeHavens, Jr., 70, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026, in Gilbert, Arizona surrounded by family. Born on February 24, 1956, in Concord, New Hampshire, Bud was the son of the late Albert DeHavens, Sr. and Ruth (Stickney) DeHavens.

Bud grew up in Enfield, New Hampshire and graduated from Mascoma Regional High School in 1974. He furthered his education at the New Hampshire Vocational Technical College, earning his degree in 1982. Bud dedicated his professional life to healthcare as a Medical Laboratory Technician and Point of Care Coordinator at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. His career was marked by dedication and excellence until his early retirement in 2014.

A talented musician with a passion for music, Bud played in numerous local bands throughout the Upper Valley area of New Hampshire and Vermont. Among these were The After Dark Band and The Four of Clubs, where he shared his gift for music with countless audiences. His love for music was a defining part of his life and brought joy to many.

In 2014, Bud and his devoted wife Sue relocated to Gilbert, Arizona, where they embraced a new chapter together. A devoted husband and father, Bud cherished his family above all else. He is survived by his wife Sue DeHavens; daughters Shelly Fable (Noelle), Allison Tibbetts, and Kayleigh Douville (Brant); son Phillip Colt; sister Deb DeHavens; nephew Christopher Michal; and grandchildren Bryce, Alaina, Taylin, Benjamin, Zacharias, Emily, Alex, Odin, Graisyn, Cooper, and Skylar.

Bud’s memory will live on through the love he shared with his family and the music that touched so many lives. May his legacy bring comfort to those who knew him.
