Lebanon, NH – Everett Homer Farnsworth of Lebanon, New Hampshire, died June 5, 2026. He was born in Hanover, NH on August 28, 1929, the son of Homer, Edward Farnsworth and Lucy (Bomhower) Ward.
He graduated from West Lebanon high school in 1948 and served in the army from 1948 to 1949 at Fort Benning, GA., and was recalled to active duty in 1950 to 1952, serving in the Korean conflict, 7th division. He was a member of the Lebanon Lodge of Elks, West Lebanon VFW Post 9552, American Legion Post of Lebanon, NH, Norford Lake Club, life member of the Grafton County Fish & Game and chairman of the soldiers memorial building in Lebanon, NH. He worked at Clarke Distributors in Keene, NH for 37 years before retiring.
He and Joe Romano coached the West Lebanon Indians baseball team for 10 years, winning the championship every year. He also helped coach the West Lebanon youth hockey team and won the Vermont invitational championship.
He married Betty (Briggs-White) Farnsworth on June 27, 1954, in Hanover, New Hampshire.
He is survived by his son, Steven Farnsworth and Lonna Lolande of Vershire, Vermont., Grandchildren, Stephanie and Stacy; son, Jeffrey Farnsworth and daughter-in-law, Wendy (Peters) Farnsworth of Enfield NH, grandchildren, Ryan and Eric Farnsworth and Nicole and Mike Yukica; daughter, Lori Wakeman, and son-in-law, Kit Wakeman, of Etna, NH, grandchildren, Kitch and Tristin Wakeman, and great grandchildren.
He was pre-deceased by his wife of 71 years, Betty Briggs (White) Farnsworth, his mother and father, Lucy Ward and Homer Farnsworth, his two sisters, Caroline Trottier, and Virginia Gosselin, and brother-in-law’s, Ted Gosselin and Bob Trottier. He loved his family, fishing, his horses, and dogs and spending time with his family and friends at his Crystal Lake cottage.
