Myrtle Beach, SC – Thomas W. Cook, died May 28, 2026 at home in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Tom was born January 19, 1946, in Rutland, VT a son of Ralph and Florence (White) Cook. He spent his early years in Ludlow, VT before his family moved to Hartford, VT where he attended Hartford High School. He began working at the Cross Abbott warehouse in Hartford while in high school and soon became a truck driver for the company. He went on to drive for St. Johnsbury Trucking for over twenty years and after they closed he drove for Preston Trucking and Yellow Freight. In addition to driving, Tom operated a storage trailer business for 30 years. He was a longtime member of the Hartford Elks before moving to Myrtle Beach.
Tom is survived by a niece, Holly Wallace, and was predeceased by a brother, Kinnersly Cook as well as a sister, Mary Ware.
A private interment will be held in the Mechanicsville Cemetery in Belmont, VT
Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct. has been entrusted with arrangements.
