Thank you local teachers

As another school year comes to a close, I would like to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the extraordinary people who make Mount Lebanon Elementary School such a special place.

From the moment students and families walk through the doors, they are greeted by a team that is welcoming, supportive and deeply committed to helping every child thrive. Under the exceptional leadership of our principal Katie Roach and vice principal Elisabeth Bailey, the school has cultivated an environment that is creative, inclusive and focused on both academic excellence and a sense of belonging within the school community.

The dedication of the entire staff deserves recognition. The front office team keeps the school running smoothly while making families feel valued and supported. Custodians work tirelessly behind the scenes to create a safe and welcoming environment—especially after our special “deer visitor” a couple of weeks ago! Paraprofessionals provide invaluable support to students and teachers alike. And, of course, our classroom teachers consistently go above and beyond, inspiring curiosity, confidence and a love of learning in their students every day.

The school’s “specials” teachers also deserve special praise, as their roles as teachers are often overlooked. Their creativity and enthusiasm enrich the educational experience in countless ways, from art projects that help bring the school play to life, to music programs that unite students through school-wide sing, to organizing an unforgettable Field Day that students eagerly anticipate all year, these educators create experiences that build lasting memories.

What makes our school truly remarkable is the sense of family it fosters. Students, teachers, all staff and even parents support one another, celebrate one another’s successes and work together to create a vibrant and fun learning environment. The benefits of such a strong school community extend far beyond the building itself; our entire community is strengthened by the care, commitment and excellence demonstrated by this school.

It is an honor to be part of this school community. As the year ends, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to every member of the staff at Mt. Leb for their hard work, dedication and compassion. We hope they all enjoy a well-deserved, restful and joyful summer break.
