Molly Gray, the fighter we need

For Vermont’s next Lieutenant Governor, we need a competent, strong communicator with a good grasp of Vermont’s needs and how to meet them. We need someone who is capable of stepping into the Governor’s role if needed and who is willing to put the state first. After watching the recent Democratic Lieutenant Governors’ debate, I realize that MOLLY GRAY is the only candidate who rises to this standard.

Gray is a clear, concise communicator, fully versed in the policy issues at the state level. She is the only candidate with executive experience, and the only one with a strong vision for how to use this office to advance the interests of the state.

In the recent debate, she was able to move nimbly from discussing how important access to primary care is to working Vermonters to a careful and respectful conversation of what it would really take to tackle our education challenges, including what the recent education bill does not do. This includes addressing costs drivers of education spending such as special ed, mental health and healthcare costs.

Gray will use her platform to advocate for real solutions that benefit Vermonters, including those who fear their property taxes are crowding out their ability to pay for groceries and health care.

Gray also made a commitment to use every lever possible to fight back against the Trump administration and made clear that no governmental position is ceremonial at this point in history.

Gray was the only candidate to call out current Lt. Gov. Rodger’s on his tie breaking vote to confirm a Trump endorsed Vermont Supreme Court justice.

Gray is the only person running for this position who can be trusted to assume the governorship competently and with vigor should that need arise.

Her opponents are nice Vermonters but neither have the communication style, executive experience, nor policy background necessary for this job.

Gray is the fighter we need.

Vote Molly Gray for Lieutenant Governor on Aug. 11.
