Hanover picks up multiple wins over Massachusetts opponents
The Hanover girls crew team won five of six races last weekend against Hingham High School and Tabor Academy from Massachusetts. The boys team won four of five races on the 1,400-meter upstream course on the Connecticut River. The margin of victory for the girls’ boats first through five was at least 13 seconds except for the fourth boat, which won by five seconds. Hingham won the sixth boat race over the Bears.
The Hanover boys won by at least seven seconds in their four wins, with Tabor winning the third boat race.
Hanover coach Julie Stevenson said the top three boats for both the boys and girls will likely be racing at the New England Championships in Worcester, Mass., this weekend.
