Theater at it’s finest

Recently, my 8 y.o daughter, Scarlett, and our 4 friends went to see Willy Wonka Jr. at the Hartford Middle School in Hartford, VT. I was blown away by the incredible strength of the actors performances. Willy Wonka, Charlie, and Veruca, took that play into a night of amazing entertainment. Willy Wonka played his part with incredible believabilty and charm. Charlie (who was played by a girl) could dance and sing with contagious intensity. Veruca took her part to such sass that I thought she really was that character. The set design-from the wintery scene at the beginning to Willy Wonka’s rainbow- purple-pinkโ€“ like majestic chocolate factory toward the end kept me riveted to the story the entire time. The rest of the cast were just as talented and fun to watch, too.

There are so many actors and performances out in the community that are professionally done.

There are also actors and performers who are out there who are not professional yet create a performance just as enriching and entertaining.

The whole cast clearly worked hard to put on such a beautiful performance.

Next time you are thinking of something to do at night, check out a school play. You might get hooked!
