What kind of community do we want Hanover to be?
To the “Not in My Backyard” voices urging Hanover voters to approve petitioned Article 7: What kind of community do we want Hanover to be?
Repealing the affordable housing zoning reforms that voters approved in 2025 in over 50% of Hanover’s residential neighborhoods on water/sewer and restricting new construction to one and two family units will limit the number of new families who can move to Hanover and reduce options for aging in place.
Wouldn’t you want the people who teach our children, our first responders, and those who care for us as we age to live in our town? If we care only about our individual backyards, we will become a town of older and aging adults and will miss out on the energy and diversity young families bring. On May 12, please vote no on Article 7.
