White River Valley wins Windsor Invitational

The White River Valley girls and boys track teams easily won the Windsor Invitational Track and Field meet at Windsor High School on Saturday.

The Wildcats’ Jack Hughes won the long jump, triple jump, was second in the 200 meters, and anchored the winning 4 by 100 relay team with Isaac Wimett, Isaac Kinsley, and Allen Wedge. White Riverโ€™s George Roda won the 3,000 meters. Kinsley was second in the discus and Wedge second in the high jump.

For Woodstock, Elijah Tyrell won the 110-meter hurdles and was second in the 300 hurdles. Noah Malloy of Sharon won the high jump, was second in the 100 meters and pole vault, and was on the winning 4 by 400 relay team with Finn Proulx, Orion Bee, and Tyler Jones. Proulx also won the 800 meters. Bee was second in the javelin, and Austin Tetrault was second in the shot put for Windsor.

White River Valleyโ€™s Cassandra Armstrong won the 100 meters, the 300 meter hurdles and was on the winning 4 by 400 meter relay team with Josie Noel, Liberti Bollman, and Sadie Armstrong. The Wildcats’ Imari Taylor won the shot put and discus, Sadie Armstrong finished first in the 400 meters, and Sarah Rule, Allie Durkee, Bollman, and Addison Isham took first in the 4 by 100 relay. Piper Pauly of Woodstock was first in the 200 meters and the triple jump. Natalie Ranney of Windsor won the 800 meters, and teammate Olivia Dube was second in the 1,500.
