Mascoma boys, girls second at home meet

The Mascoma girls and boys finished second at a field events meet at Mascoma Regional High School on Tuesday.

For the girls, Georgia Kondi won the shot put and discus while teammate Sophia Smith took first in the high jump and second in the pole vault. Also for the Royals, Montana Ballard was third in both the pole vault and triple jump, and Anna Emerson was third in the javelin.

For the boys, the Royals’ Barnaby Diehn won the shot put and discus, Sila Jukosky was second in the long jump, and Reece Yorkle third in the pole vault. For the Newport boys, who finished third among eight teams, Aidan Couitt won the high jump, Ayden Hodge the javelin, and Bryce Palmer was second in the triple jump. Lebanonโ€™s Caden Piper was third in the long jump for the boys, and Brian Nelson fourth in the javelin.

Rowan Laundry was second and Natalie Bokinala third in the high jump for the Raider girls, and Maeve Finnegan fourth in the triple jump. Newportโ€™s Callie Dixon finished second in the shot put.
